Just when you thought your business's Facebook page was coming along nicely, the company may be in the process of making a change to the design of Facebook pages for brands.

According to advertising and marketing news source, AdAge, Facebook executives are in talks to begin allowing businesses to adopt its new Timeline format. While there's been no formal announcement, the company is expected to discuss its new feature at a conference later this month.

Timeline became available for individual users back in September, and in December, Facebook announced that it would be slowly transitioning its users into that format  exclusively. As opposed to the current layout, Timeline's design is more image-driven and chronological in nature.

But, Timeline might actually be a better option for most businesses. Its chronological order can help users search for products, it displays images in larger sizes and its layout allows for a more unique branding style.

"It suddenly gives [users] the opportunity to share what business you're in, the products you're using or buying and sharing that with your friends," said David Fischer, Facebook's vice president of Marketing and Business Partnerships, in a statement back in September announcing Timeline's capabilities.

While the format of brand pages for Timeline aren't set in stone, it is certainly something to keep in mind for your business. With an interactive and user-friendly page that can accommodate for more images, it might be a lot easier to sell your products online.

Just as hiring a New Jersey courier can save you money on your logistic services, your business may very likely benefit from Facebook's new look, after all.
